IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WARNING about FRAUD
As an attorney, I believe strongly in the law and the integrity of the U.S. legal process. Helping people and practicing law is a privilege that I deeply value. I understand that the process may not be perfect, but I believe the imperfections are largely attributable to abuse of the legal process not the law itself.
The areas of law that I practice are both rooted in the United States Constitution. They are areas of law that I feel are valuable and important to our country. I could not imagine the United States if we did not promote science and the arts. Likewise, I do not believe our country would be as great as it is (even in spite of difficult times) if we did not have laws that allow honest people who have at least tried and failed or faced unexpected hardships escape insurmountable debt and get a fresh start at life.
If you are considering filing bankruptcy, you have an absolute (no excuses) duty of candor to your attorney, the trustees’ office, and the Court. You must disclose ALL of your assets, debts, liabilities and income. You may not give preferential treatment to certain creditors; you may not intentionally rack up debt knowing you are filing for bankruptcy; and you may not hide or transfer assets to anyone. Bankruptcy fraud is punishable by fines, dismissal of your case, and criminal prosecution which may lead to incarceration. Bankruptcy fraud is an abuse of the bankruptcy process. If you do not intend to be truthful about your financial situation, do not contact my office.
Being truthful does not mean you will lose everything or not qualify for bankruptcy. As an attorney, I have a duty to zealously advocate on your behalf and I welcome the opportunity to do so. If you are an honest debtor, please contact my office today for a free consultation.
